NOTE
historic info from the book, The 750 Mineral Springs of Greece: "On the island of Kythnos, in the same location known as Kythnos Thermia, a few meters apart from each other, there are two thermal springs: one under the name Kakavos Spring, and the other known as Agioi Anargyroi Spring. The first spring (according to an analysis by A. Damvergis) is a ferruginous (iron-rich) hot saline spring, with a temperature of 52.3°C. The second is also a hot saline spring, with a temperature of 38.6°C. Professor Emmanouil correctly classifies these springs as belonging to the category of chloride-sodium (chlorosodium) waters. The waters of these springs contain relatively high amounts of bromide and iodide salts. These springs have been granted by the State for 25 years of exploitation. There are public facilities on site, currently undergoing full renovation. Numerous analyses of the Kythnos waters have been conducted since 1830. For more information, see K. Charitakis' “The Thermal Springs and Spa Towns of Greece”, 1936 edition, p. 275."
OWNERSHIP
